2017 Pantone Colour of the Year ‘Greenery’ – Top Picks From London Drugs Beauty

Every year a small part of me anticipates what colour Pantone is going to announce as the ‘Colour of the Year’. This year, we are going to be surrounded by all things Greenery. Did anyone else instantly think of Elphaba and WICKED when they heard of this? Ok I know it isn’t the exact shade, but pretty much every time I come across green I think of the musical. The last blog post I featured of Pantone’s colour of the year, was another shade of green. That post was more fashion focused, in this post I’m sharing some Greenery beauty products and recommendations chosen by London Drugs Beauty. Maybe I’ll write another fashion post featuring Greenery pieces soon, although so far I haven’t seen much clothing in this shade! Hmm…

These products were chosen by London Drugs Beauty for feature, but I 100% vouch for each brand featured here!

London Drugs Beauty Advisors Share Top Picks for Pantone Colour of the Year Greenery

The zesty yellow-green shade symbolizes nature, and will be the perfect colour to compliment your 2017 beauty looks, especially for spring and summer. London Drugs’ Beauty Advisors have rounded up the perfect beauty matches in the shade Greenery, from skincare and nails, to lips and eyes, so you can start wearing the hottest colour of the year right now.

Essie Nail Lacquer in Mojito Madness

Out of hundreds of nail polish shades, London Drugs Beauty Advisors narrowed it down to just one! Essie’s Mojito Madness is the right shade of bright green with a yellowy undertone, just like Pantone’s Greenery. This is sure to be a hot mani/pedi shade for spring, and is definitely one of the easiest ways to start wearing this newly in-demand colour.

Lise Watier Sublimessence High Concentration Age-Defying Serum

This skincare product definitely embodies Greenery. It’s an age-defying serum packed with the exclusive Labrador Tea Extract, found in the heart of the Canada’s boreal forest in Quebec. The Labrador Tea leaves are harvested by hand, in a manner that respects the environment and ensures sustainable development. It doesn’t get much greener than that.

NYX Vivid Brights Liner in Vivid Envy & Vivid Escape

For a beautiful bold eye look featuring Greenery, London Drugs Beauty Advisors chose two shades from NYX’s Vivid Brights Liquid Liners: Vivid Envy and Vivid Escape. Expert tip: create an easy dual-winged cat-eye look by applying Vivid Envy as a cat-eye along the upper lash line, and then applying a second cat-eye in Vivid Escape directly above. Finish with a few coats of mascara.

Emani Hydra Liquid Foundation & Emani Perfecting Bronzer

The colour Greenery is all about nature, so London Drugs’ Beauty Advisors suggest adding some natural ‘green’ beauty products to your routine for 2017. Emani Cosmetics’ products are 100% vegan and gluten friendly, 100% cruelty free, 100% talc and paraben free, and are made with no harsh chemicals or petrochemicals.
