Pantone 17-5641 – Hottest Colour of The Season

Although it is nearing the end of February, Vancouver weather is still chilly with our lovely friend, known as rainy days.  I wasn’t in the mood for anything too bright; something warm with solid winter colours was on my mind.  I decided on my newly purchased pair of Big Blue emerald denim that is officially the “it” colour of this year (also known as Pantone 17-5641).  I paired it with a black tank and a simple cream TNA cardigan from Aritzia.  When wearing a piece of coloured clothing, its always best to stay with neutrals for the rest of your outfit.

Finishing off the outfit, I wore a pair of waterproof Hush Puppies and a couple of my favourite jewellery pieces.  Emerald might not be a colour for everyone, but a pair of quality emerald denim can last you through the year.  In Spring, a white blouse will look great, and you can’t go wrong with boots and sweaters during the fall/winter seasons.

The emerald didn’t show up too nicely in my picture, but this is a very close shade to the one I own.

Where do I get it?:

TNA Torres Pants (similar)

Cream Cardigan with Brown Buttons (similar)

Hush Puppies Black Boots (similar)

Juicy Couture Heart Charm Necklace (exact)

Kate Spade watch (exact)
