Gold On Gold For New Year’s Celebrations – Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipsticks

image

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! I’ve been having some quality time celebrating with loved ones and de-plugging from the interweb for a few days, but I’m back to ring in the new year with one last post for 2016 and get back into the blogging adventures again! I have a line-up of content and upcoming collaborations that I’m very excited to share with you all in the new year!

This year, I’ll be celebrating New Year’s Eve with my family over a nice dinner, and then off to a party with my friends. Of course I have to bring my trusty sidekick products, and I gotta have that perfect shade of lipstick with me to get my party on! My lipstick(s) of choice this year is from Charlotte Tilbury’s Hot Lips collection. Lipstick with a rose gold case for new year’s? Yes please 😉

Charlotte has created a range of 12 HOT lipstick shades inspired by some of the world’s most mesmerising women. Each celebrity inspires Charlotte in so many ways – either for their beauty, their style, their power or for their positive message for good. It’s the ULTIMATE all female beauty collaboration.

In collaboration with 12 incredible women: Miranda Kerr, Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Kate Bosworth, Laura Bailey, Cindy Crawford, Helena Bonham-Carter, Liv Tyler, Emily Ratakjowski, Carina Lau, Poppy Delevingne and Kim Kardashian-West.

I love brands and products that have a giving back component to it. £1 from every Hot Lips lipstick sale was donated to Women For Women International in the first two months of launch. This organization helps women survivors of conflict turnaround their lives. Many of these women have experienced bereavement, torture, brutality, and horrific sexual violence. Their basic rights, freedom and identities as women are stolen and used as a weapon of war. Yet when given the tools, resources and knowledge to access livelihoods and protect their rights, women can literally transform their families, communities – and ultimately their nations.

Some of you may know supporting women’s rights is near and dear to my heart, and I’m very happy this Charlotte Tilbury collection is doing great things in this area.

In this post, I’ll be featuring 4 of the 12 lipsticks in the collection. From left to right: Electric Poppy, Bosworth’s Beauty, Kidman’s Kiss, and Miranda May

Electric Poppy

In collaboration with Poppy Delevingne – “This cerise cherry is electric like Poppy’s personality and style, it makes a statement on her beautiful English rose complexion. Whether she’s casual or chic, she is always hypnotizing.”

image

This is a beautiful bright red that is perfect to pair with a black dress. Although for me this is too bright for casual daily wear, I am definitely wearing this to parties (like my New Year’s Eve party tomorrow!), it really is a gorgeous red. And can we take a moment to appreciate that lip design detail!?

Bosworth’s Beauty

image

In collaboration with Kate Bosworth – “This statement pink is 1950s retro vintage glamour brought into modern day. Inspired by Kate’s mesmerizing, timeless look that straddles two beauty worlds, this bright pink can encompass Old Hollywood elegance, but also feel effortlessly fresh at a festival.”

image

This crossover between a pink and red lipstick is something I’ve been wearing when I’m out and about lately. This is perfect for daily wear! I must add that despite the lipsticks in this collection are matte, when applied to the lips it feels so soft and doesn’t dry out the lips.

Kidman’s Kiss

image

In collaboration with Nicole Kidman – “As a fellow redhead, Nicole has always been an inspiration of mine. This just-kissed rose petal-pink is so dreamy, its reminiscent of the flourish of colour on the lips of Pre-Raphaelite beauties. Perfect for all complexions, including pale.”

image

I’ve been using this beige/brown shade when I’m wearing more neutral basic colours. Since this colour is more of a daily wear lipstick, I think this shade would particularly appeal to those looking for a colour to wear more often.

Miranda May

image

In collaboration with Miranda Kerr – “A fresh, pinky coral inspired by the sunsets of Malibu and Bondi Beach. This shade perfectly matches Miranda’s effortless freshfaced beauty. The colour contrast makes her blue eyes light up and sparkle!”

image

This shade is best for those that want a brighter red lipstick for daily wear, but not go too overboard. It is the perfect medium between a party red lipstick and a more ‘played down’ beige/peach shade for daily use.

By purchasing a lipstick from this collection, you are part of the goal to support female empowerment! How else you can get involved:

  • Charlotte has become a sister to a women within the charity, donating money every month to her development. Charlotte will also be donating money to 12 additional sisters on behalf of the 12 women making up the Hot Lips collection.
  • Find out how you can join Charlotte too: http://www.womenforwomen.org.uk/ sponsor-a-sister.
  • On top of this, Charlotte and the 12 celebrities supporting the Hot Lips launch, will be asking EVERYONE to join their #LIPSTICKCONFIDENCE social media campaign, to raise awareness for the work of Women for Women.

I’m very honoured to be apart of this campaign and I can’t wait to see it grow even more!

Happy New Year’s everyone! See you again in 2017 🙂
