CHANEL Rouge Coco on Tour in Hong Kong

I am back from vacation!

It has been a great few weeks in Shanghai and Hong Kong, with delicious food, memories, and spending time with family I haven’t seen since my last trip there in December 2014. I’ll be blogging it up of all the fun things I did, with the first one being an event I went to!

I was walking around the Causeway Bay area in Hong Kong one afternoon and the neon lights with CHANEL’s logo caught my attention.

When I walked in, I realized this was a pop-up event, and held from May 21 to June 5. I went on May 22, and surprisingly being the second day of opening, there were not many people, but this was probably because I went around 1pm.

If you haven’t heard before, Rouge Coco is a line of lip products from CHANEL. This tour is to promote this line,along with some of their other latest cosmetic products. Other stops for this tour includes Tokyo and Paris.

Although I did not RSVP in advance, they welcome walk-ins as well! All you had to do was register your contact information and you’re good to go! However my rule of thumb is always to register for events like this one if possible, to avoid disappointment when they have reached full capacity.

Once you walk in, you will be greeted by many very friendly staff, who will introduce you to each station. You then are free to explore and choose your first stop!

The staff really made an effort to offer and help everyone take photos in literally every corner of the event haha! Vuitton met Chanel, bet not many people can say that 😉 I know, lame joke.

I love the many stations they have for people to test out their lip products, nail polish, skin care, perfume, basically many of their latest cosmetic products were available for testing! You can test out as many colours and products as you like in a very comfortable and casual setting, which is what stood out to me the most.

Little reminder gifts of a great event! I can’t wait to play around with the lip colours some more from this sampler palette 🙂 The photo was from the photo booth, which requires your QR code so they can send the video to your email. After taking the photo, you get to design it with ‘stickers’ (anyone remember those Japanese sticker photo machines?) before printing. Such a great idea to have a physical copy to bring home with you!

I had a lovely time at the Rouge Coco tour and learning more about CHANEL’s beauty products. Definitely need to locate the lip colour 216 very soon!
