TED talks are one of those things where there is something for everyone. You like science or research? Plenty of interesting talks to choose from. Proper methods of flirting or the art of seducing someone? There are talks on that as well. I kid you not! I don’t want to play favourites here, but one of my all time memorable TED talks involves lollipops. Does this sound familiar to some of you?
I’m very fortunate to live in a city where there other many TEDx events and approaches to the themes, and each time I leave a TEDx event, I always learn something new. If you’ve read my bucket list, delivering a TED talk is on there. Although currently I am unable to dedicate the amount of time and attention this experience deserves, I am happy to share that I have been asked to support TEDxStanelyPark in another capacity this year, happening on May 28!
What Is This Event All About?
Believe it or not, TEDxStanleyPark will not take place at Stanley Park (shocker!). The ‘TEDxStanleyPark’ name was chosen to capture the spirit of Stanley Park, to inspire and energize their visitors.
This year’s event will take place at Queen Elizabeth Theater, with 2,640 live guests and 3,000 to 5,000 online guests.
The theme is Ideas to Action. This theme is born from the belief that all human achievement has 3 sources: the dreams that we dream, the choices that we make, and the actions that we take. And the most impactful of these are the actions that we take. Ideas to Action guides the selection of each speaker and their talks to encompass the values and goals of this theme.
Past and this year’s full list of speakers can be found here
If you use the promo code Vuitton, you will receive $20 off your ticket! Which can be purchased here
I look forward to meeting some of you at the event! Which TED talks are your favourite?
